  Violations of privacy re: postal mail by JWs

  i have been sending out orders of books to jws, ex-jws and others for over 25 years.

  sometimes plain wrap to keep the family's noses out of it.

  over the years i have seen the same constant pattern: whenever the questioning jw lives with or near family members who are currently jws, they want to break open the mail to see what others are ordering!!

  No. England might be painful to watch at times (like when they stop attacking and attempt to defend out a lead), but I always want them in.

  yesterday it was the day of the global inviroment.

  as i walked to the street going to work, the main square of the capitol was filled with small children and their teachers with huge paintings, songs, art work with recycled elements demanding a cleaner plannet.

  when the old generation will pass those little ones that will take in charge with all the inviromental education they had they will go for a better world.i'm sure about it, you could see it in their small eyes.

  Thanks for the summary, BTL, showing that burning fossil fuels is embedded in our current way of life. In your opinion, is it viable that elements of what you described can be gradually converted to non-carbon dioxide emitting processes without causing the damage of which you speak?

  Lonely endeavour.

  it's been almost 3 years since i've become inactive.

  my inactivity was due to a divorce.

  i finally awoke to the fact i was in an abusive and non working relationship and i got out.

  Funerals = JW infomercials

  one of the more asinine practices of jws is to turn someone's funeral into a borg infomercial.

  every single jw relative i've had who has passed away, had an infomercial funeral.

  hardly anything was ever said about them as people, except of course in how they served the borg.. "sister x was a very pugnatious woman, even into her late 80's, as i'm sure her family can attest to.

  I always found funerals where non-believing relatives were attending to feel wrong, and felt uncomfortable about what they must have thought about what they were hearing. Gosh, they might have even thought that we were a fanatical organisation so obsessed with our own beliefs that we had to promote at every available opportunity. Perish the thought...
  
  That outline... yuck.
  
  Now I'm out and not looking forward to the two family funerals which are destined to occur relatively soon. Oh well, I'll just have to go into zombie mode and let it wash over me.

  some of you might find this link of interest: http://www.scripture4all.org/ you can download an excellent searchable interlinear bible including both ot and nt.

  it's a must-have for serious study if you aren't familiar with hebrew and greek and don't want to fork out for a zondervan interlinear.
